MONTY

Poor Monty was dumped in a heap of rubbish with his legs bound together. He was found in a cardboard box so no-one could see him - and left for dead. Luckily a woman, annoyed by the fly-tipping so close to her home, went over to move it. She was horrified to find Monty in such a terrible state and phoned the RSPCA immediately. Monty had suffered a broken leg and was rushed to the RSPCA’s Harmsworth hospital in London. After a few weeks of treatment, Monty was re-homed with another Husky and a family who care about him. SHELLY

Shelley was left in a bin bag by the side of the road by her cruel owners. She was just seven months old, petrified and shaking with fear. Thankfully a couple heard her cries for help while out for an evening stroll. She looked as though she hadn’t eaten for weeks. Her fur was matted and she was covered in dirt, including her own excrement. The couple took her home for the night and called the RSPCA. Without their help, Shelley wouldn’t be here today. LULU

Lulu, a three year old Staffordshire bull terrier, was thrown out of a car window. Luckily a passer-by saw this happening and stopped to help her. He called out an RSPCA inspector who took her straight to a vet. Although she had no injuries from being thrown from the moving car, she had a terrible skin condition caused by neglect. After a few days of treatment, she was taken to the RSPCA’s South Godstone Animal Centre and nursed back to health. Fortunately, she was then re-homed with a loving family.
